While Tony ‘Taxman’ serves up the usual, Team Oury Clark smashes back with real wins - lighting up the scoreboard with grants and reliefs you don’t want to snooze on. Just ask the guy in the crowd who woke up when the funding hit! We’re here to help you ace your business strategy and share the love (even if that means starting from zero). Transcript

Greetings Friends of Oury Clark,

Did Someone Say Hugh Grant? Nope! But Now I Have Your Attention… Here Are Some New Grants & Government Incentives You Won’t Want to Take for Grant-ed!

From £10.5K Employer NI relief to Stamp Duty reductions and Enhanced Capital Allowances in 20+ UK locations, there’s real money on the table. Innovation-focused businesses can also access support through the Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF), which provides capital grants to strengthen the UK’s life sciences manufacturing base.

Meanwhile, the DRIVE35 Scale-Up Fund is designed to accelerate the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge zero-emission vehicle and EV battery technologies through strategic partnerships – helping businesses scale up production and attract private investment.

Not sure what applies to you? Answer our quick 5-step review:

  1. Are you claiming your Employer NI exemption?
  2. Do you know where the UK investment/tax relief zones are?
  3. Could you be eligible for part of the £500m innovation grant pool?
  4. Are you aware of the benefits of investment/tax relief zones?
  5. Did you know relocating businesses can apply for these reliefs too?

Get in touch to explore what’s available. We’ll help you navigate the options and assess your eligibility, via a one-time fee Indicative Grant Assessment.

Right to Work Checks: Are You Compliant?

With growing immigration scrutiny in the UK, employers must ensure their checks are up to date, accurate and fully compliant for each UK employee. Right to Work checks are no longer a box-ticking exercise, they are a necessary safeguard for employers.

What is a Right to Work Check?
It is a legal requirement for all UK employers to confirm that every employee has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. This involves verifying original identity documents or conducting online checks through the UK Government’s system and keeping clear records of the process.

Failure to comply can result in hefty civil penalties of up to £60,000 per illegal worker, criminal sanctions and serious reputational damage.

If you have any questions or need practical guidance on Right to Work checks, reach out to our Right to Work checks team here (rtw@ouryclark.com).
