We are seeking an IT Engineer to join our IT team, serving as the main engineer responsible for our London office. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The Role is on-site not hybrid.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve IT-related problems through remote or in-person communication.
  • Collaborate with IT team to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain new technology.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity and server functionalities.
  • Create and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures and solutions.
  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance overall IT literacy.

Experience required working as an IT Engineer within a multi-channel business or multi-discipline general practice.

Previous experience of the following systems desired but not essential:

  • Server Virtualisation and Hyper Converged Infrastructure – Hyper-V/Nutanix
  • VM Backups and Replication – Veeam
  • VLAN’s, routing and switching – HP/Cisco
  • Active Directory – On-Prem and Azure AD
  • Microsoft Office365 – Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Entra
  • Firewalls and VPNs – Cato Networks/Sophos
  • Email Security – Mimecast
  • Desktop monitoring systems

Other requirements:

  • Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Ideally lives within reasonable travel distance from Slough site
  • Need flexibility working out of hours where required
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
