Biography

Ian joined Oury Clark in 1999, and became a partner in July 2000.  He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.

A business advisor with “real-world” experience, Ian offers commercial, pragmatic solutions to clients’ problems.

Ian heads up Oury Clark’s Norwegian Inward Investment Team – his client list includes upwards of 20 Norwegian companies and he visits Norway on average once a month.  He understands (he thinks!) Norwegian business cultures  and appreciates the difficulties faced by Norwegian companies when establishing themselves in the UK.

Ian is experienced in the M&A world, having been involved in many company acquisitions/disposals over the years.  In addition to advising on the commercial aspects of deals, Ian gets involved in formal deal structuring, taxation and due diligence.

Ian also has expertise in the property sector,  dealing with a number of SME property groups, including developers, house-builders and investment companies.
